Hello Every body,
Approaching sixties, I am an active person with asian origin who is suffering from pre hypertension. I am 172 cm in height with 82 Kgs weight. My average blood pressure remains at 156/99 against a desirable 120/80. To overcome the same, I am exercising 30 mins daily alongwith an evening walk of about 30 mins. I do not drink alcohol nor smoke, have reduced intake of red meat, am taking mostly fruit, vegs, fibre food with mostly olive oil. I have no worries or mental tension and am a contended person.
Despite of all this my blood pressure is not coming down. The doctor says to control it with diet and exercise which I am following. My BP exhibits comfortable proportions only when I get up from sleep.
Can you please advise possible causes which I may be missing and which will help me to have a normal BP.

Definitely add a minimum 100 mg per day of Coenzyme Q10. After several weeks you should see a decrease in BP. I have been tracking my bp for 3 years and am nearly off meds.

Walking does help. Keep it up. Also, I use B6, B12 and Folic Acid every day. If you are taking statins by any chance you MUST take Q10 and then make every effort to get off that stuff.
